According to the cross-border e-commerce platform, plant-based milks from Europe and America, goat milk from New Zealand and camel milk from Dubai are becoming increasingly popular with Chinese consumers, with many brands accelerating their entries into the China market this year.
The trend has been fueled in part by Chinese consumers’ growing interest in healthy diet and lifestyles. This year, sales for imported plant milks increased 176% YoY and sales for imported goat milk powder rose 50% YoY. Meanwhile, during the recent 11.11 Global Shopping Festival, sales for camel milk from Dubai surged by a whopping 400% YoY.
